Krei, who previously served as the firm’s Co-Chief Investment Officer, will now spearhead the investment team and research operations. This move allows Dave Keevins, the firm’s founder and former investment lead, to transition into his new role as Chairman of the Crescent Grove Investment Committee. Keevins will maintain his responsibilities as Managing Director and Senior Client Advisor while shifting his focus toward long-term strategic oversight and continued client stewardship.
Crescent Grove Advisors Promotes Andrew Krei to Chief Investment Officer
Eleven years after its founding, the Lake Forest-based boutique firm Crescent Grove Advisors has elevated Andrew Krei to Chief Investment Officer. The transition marks a strategic pivot for the wealth management firm as it enters its second decade, tasking Krei with the direct oversight of portfolio construction and investment strategy.

Gregg George, another of the firm’s founders, described the leadership change as a validation of the company's internal growth model. The transition highlights a long-standing professional partnership between Keevins and Krei that spans nearly twenty years, dating back to their tenure at Cedar Street Advisors. For the firm, which manages over $5 billion in assets, the appointment serves to balance the continuity of its personalized, family-centric service model with the need for evolving expertise in increasingly complex financial markets. Krei, a CFA charterholder and UCLA alumnus, will continue to represent the firm in public discussions regarding monetary policy and global market trends.
