The project introduces Wavegarden Cove technology to the Middle East, capable of generating 1,000 waves per hour. The infrastructure is designed to accommodate nearly 90 surfers simultaneously, catering to everyone from absolute beginners to seasoned riders. Beyond the water, the site will host the Club Hawaii Surf Academy, alongside a suite of retail, dining, and family-oriented social spaces.
Lagoon Filling Complete at Bahrain’s New Surf Destination
The 52,000-square-metre Club Hawaii @ Bahrain Surf Park has reached a critical construction milestone, completing the filling of its central lagoon. Located at the Bilaj Al Jazayer development, the facility is now entering its final preparations for a scheduled opening later this year.

General Manager Victoria Williams described the milestone as the culmination of extensive design and construction efforts. The park serves as the inaugural entertainment anchor for the broader 1.3 million-square-metre Bilaj Al Jazayer coastal project. Led by Edamah, the real estate subsidiary of Mumtalakat Holding Company, in partnership with GFH Financial Group, the development aims to diversify Bahrain’s tourism landscape through active, experience-led recreation.
