The round was led by Felicis, with continued participation from Sequoia Capital and The Westly Group, arriving just one year after the startup’s launch. Founded by alumni from McKinsey and OpenAI, Magentic focuses on automating the complex, fragmented workflows of global manufacturers. Its agents function as virtual employees, navigating email, Microsoft Teams, and legacy ERP systems to handle tasks ranging from supplier selection and contract negotiation to invoice clearance.
Magentic Secures $18 Million to Deploy AI Agents in Industrial Supply Chains
Procurement teams are currently managing a ten percent annual increase in workload while budgets remain nearly stagnant, a chasm that London-based Magentic aims to bridge with its new capital. The company, which builds autonomous digital workers for industrial operations, has secured $18 million in Series A funding.

Industrial supply chains are currently navigating a historic capital expenditure cycle, with Goldman Sachs projecting $8 trillion in AI-related spending by 2031. Magentic addresses this by integrating directly into a client’s existing infrastructure rather than adding another software dashboard. One client currently manages over a million orders annually through these agents, while others have reported a 60% improvement in data quality and significant cost savings. To address enterprise security concerns, the company offers isolated deployments and zero-data-retention agreements. The new funding will support the expansion of its agent roadmap and deeper research into handling the massive, multimodal datasets required for large-scale industrial optimization.
