Ross Stores Revamps Board as Longtime Director Retires
Ross Stores is shaking up its leadership as Sharon D. Garrett prepares to step down after 25 years on the board. Replacing her effective October 1, the company has tapped technology veteran Shelley H. Bransten and investment professional Christian B. Johnson to steer its retail strategy forward.

Chairman K. Gunnar Bjorklund praised the incoming directors for their respective expertise in innovation and business strategy. He also recognized the departure of Garrett, who joined the board in 2000, as the end of a pivotal era for the Dublin-based retailer. Her tenure coincided with the company’s expansion into its current footprint of nearly 2,000 stores nationwide.
