Corgi Insurance Names Daniel Hausman to Lead Trucking Division

Hausman arrives with a technical background that includes a CPCU designation and Lean Six Sigma certification, bridging the gap between rigorous underwriting and rapid business development. His tenure at Nirvana saw him build a non-fleet program from scratch to $30 million, while his time at CSMV Underwriters resulted in similar rapid growth. At Transportation Insurance Experts, he focused on capacity negotiations and compliance, driving 180% year-over-year profitable expansion through strategic audits and distribution shifts.

Beyond underwriting, Hausman brings experience in corporate restructuring and the integration of automation technology, notably leading the acquisition of the YC-backed insurtech Mulligan AI. Corgi COO Emily Yuan noted that Hausman’s ability to navigate the intersection of capacity, operations, and distribution makes him a pivotal hire for the company’s ongoing efforts to modernize insurance products for the transportation industry.
