Faith Leaders Convene at Washington Times Building for National Prayer
Hundreds of clergy and guests filled the Washington Times building on Saturday for the "God's Hope Is America" gathering, an interfaith assembly dedicated to prayer for Dr. Hak Ja Han, known as the Mother of Peace, and a renewed commitment to the preservation of religious liberty.
Former U.S. Representative Dan Burton and Paula White-Cain framed the event around the defense of religious freedom. "Religious liberty must belong to everyone, or eventually it will belong to no one," White-Cain told the audience. Former U.S. Ambassador Randy Evans echoed these sentiments, urging attendees to rely on faith when navigating contemporary societal challenges. The event also served as a milestone, marking the 50th anniversary of Reverend Sun Myung Moon’s 1976 Washington Monument rally. Family Federation USA President Reverend Demian Dunkley concluded the proceedings by framing the nation as a global beacon of hope, urging those in attendance to transcend denominational divisions in pursuit of peace.
