Avantor Taps Todd Garner as New CFO

The Radnor-based life sciences supplier confirmed his appointment on September 21, 2026, tasking the veteran executive with overseeing the company’s global financial operations, investor relations, and internal audit functions.

Garner joins the firm following an eight-year tenure at CONMED Corporation, where he served in the same capacity. With over three decades of leadership experience in public company finance and operations, his background includes a significant stint at C. R. Bard, Inc., where he focused on driving business growth and shareholder value. He is a certified public accountant with degrees from Brigham Young University and the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Avantor President and CEO Emmanuel Ligner credited Garner’s operational expertise and strategic mindset as essential assets for the company’s next growth phase. Garner assumes the role from Steve Eck, the Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, who had been managing the department on an interim basis since June 24, 2026. Eck will remain with the company in his original role, having been praised by leadership for his steady guidance during the transition period.
