Veeva Automates Safety Triage with New Falcon Router Agent

Biopharmaceutical companies currently struggling with the manual intake of safety reports and medical inquiries will soon have a digital triage assistant. Veeva Systems announced the Falcon Router, an AI-driven agent designed to classify incoming communications and direct them to appropriate internal teams without human intervention.

The system, scheduled for early adopter availability in January 2027, targets the bottleneck of processing adverse event reports and product quality complaints. By integrating with channels such as email and Veeva Ostro, the software automates the routing process, pushing data directly into Veeva Safety, Veeva QMS, or Veeva MedInquiry. This transition aims to replace manual reconciliation efforts that often slow down clinical response times.

John Lawrie, vice president of Veeva Safety, noted that the complexity of these routing challenges scales directly with a company’s geographic expansion and product portfolio. By shifting the initial triage to an agentic workflow, the firm intends to allow medical experts to focus on patient safety rather than administrative sorting. The tool serves as the latest addition to the Falcon Agent Suite, Veeva's broader push into autonomous labor solutions tailored for the life sciences sector.
