The company’s decision to retain the asset comes as Hyperliquid expands its platform capabilities, most recently launching a manual borrowing feature that allows users to leverage HYPE or Bitcoin as collateral for stablecoins. This growth in on-chain perpetuals trading volume has coincided with a period of rising market interest in decentralized finance platforms.
Lion Group Holding Maintains 195,000 HYPE Token Position
With a market valuation now hitting 18.2 million dollars, Lion Group Holding Ltd. has confirmed it is holding its full allocation of Hyperliquid tokens. The NASDAQ-listed firm emphasized that it has not offloaded any of its 195,000 HYPE units since the initial acquisition, citing confidence in the protocol's long-term potential.

While U.S. regulatory discussions regarding market structure and SEC oversight have intensified, Lion Group management declined to comment on how these legislative shifts might specifically impact the HYPE token. The firm continues to treat its cryptocurrency holdings as a core component of its treasury management strategy, pledging to monitor both regulatory updates and market performance as the ecosystem matures.
