Ponnampalam replaces Mark Voumard, who vacated the position as part of a pre-planned succession strategy. Previously serving as the firm's director and head of business and investments for private markets, Ponnampalam brings over two decades of experience across public and private capital markets to the expanded role.
IQ-EQ Appoints Anil Ponnampalam to Lead APAC and Middle East Fund Unit
Following the rebranding of Gordian Capital to IQ-EQ this June, the global investor services group has named Anil Ponnampalam as managing director for its fund platform and solutions in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions, marking a strategic leadership transition within the firm’s international management structure.
He will now report to Sridhar Nagarajan, the APAC regional CEO, and work alongside group chief commercial officer Richard Surrency. In addition to his primary responsibilities, Ponnampalam joins the APAC regional management team and secures board seats across the group’s fund management entities in both the Asia-Pacific and Middle East territories.
