Dr. Barbara Betancourt Cortes Honored as Pinnacle Lifetime Member

Since establishing Cortes Chiropractic, she has focused on delivering personalized treatment plans for a diverse patient base, ranging from personal injury cases to prenatal and pediatric care. Her clinical expertise includes spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, and ergonomic assessments designed to address the root causes of musculoskeletal discomfort. Beyond standard practice, she holds Webster Certification, a specialized technique used to improve pelvic balance during pregnancy.

Her path to medicine followed a background in biological sciences and dental assisting, culminating in a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in 2024. Before her medical career, Cortes maintained a high-level presence in competitive athletics, representing Puerto Rico in national open water swimming and water polo competitions. She credits her clinical perspective to the mentorship of colleagues Lorenil Hancock and Astrid Pilar. Currently, she is preparing to expand her practice, with plans to establish new locations across Georgia and Puerto Rico to widen access to her brand of patient-centered healthcare.
