Epson Expands Laser Projector Lineup with New 4K HDR Home Cinema Models

The new hardware arrives as home entertainment setups shift toward larger, more versatile screens. Fernando Tamashiro, product manager at Epson America, noted that traditional large-format televisions often dominate a room’s aesthetic with a "large black rectangle" when powered off. In contrast, these projectors are designed to disappear into the room's decor while supporting cinematic formats, including 21:9 and IMAX-style viewing.

Technically, the models utilize an advanced Epson Picture Processor and a laser array light source to generate a full 8.29-million-pixel image. With brightness ratings ranging from 2,500 to 3,500 lumens, the projectors maintain color accuracy even in rooms with ambient light. The LS7500 differentiates itself with a short-throw lens, allowing for large-scale projection in spaces with limited depth. For gamers, the series includes support for 120Hz refresh rates and Auto Low Latency Mode, keeping input lag below 20ms.

Integration into existing living spaces is supported by manual lens shift capabilities and whisper-quiet airflow designs. Connectivity is handled via dual HDMI ports, while the inclusion of Bluetooth 6.0 allows users to pair wireless headphones for private listening. The LS5000, LS6000, and LS7500 will be available in late September, with pricing starting at $1,999.99.
