The new feature addresses the fragmented nature of furniture shopping, where consumers typically visit over four brands and spend nearly three weeks researching before committing to a purchase. By allowing users to combine furniture, paint, and flooring from partners like Rooms To Go and Raymour & Flanigan into a single virtual canvas, the tool enables shoppers to see how different items interact before moving to a unified checkout. According to Frances Levison, Associate Vice President of Product, the goal is to shift the focus from merely finding products to building confidence in design decisions. The interface supports custom templates, photo uploads, and background removal, catering to homeowners who frequently struggle to reconcile disparate elements across various websites. This initiative builds on the company's existing 'Favorites' feature, which currently serves as a primary driver for user engagement. Dan Bennett, Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer, stated that the platform aims to replace tools never designed for cohesive home projects with a seamless experience that spans from initial inspiration to final transaction.
