After three decades navigating the complexities of international reinsurance and insurance technology, Ian Meadows has been tapped as the new Managing Director of Global Property Casualty & Specialty Insurance at Lumos Insurance, signaling a aggressive push by the firm to scale its commercial offerings beyond traditional credit protection.
Lumos currently maintains a 45-year history of underwriting for banks and credit unions across the United States. While the company has seen consistent growth within its credit protection division, the arrival of Meadows marks a shift toward building a broader, more disciplined carrier capacity in the property and casualty sector. President Vince Bodnar noted that the move is designed to accelerate the firm’s ability to deliver new lines of business to its existing network of 1,500 partners. By integrating Meadow’s expertise in standing up specialty ventures, Lumos aims to leverage its A- (Excellent) AM Best rating to capture rising demand for specialized insurance products.
