Bronner Bros. Beauty Icon Awards to Honor Industry Visionaries

This year’s honorees represent a cross-section of the industry’s evolution, including celebrity hairstylist Tokyo Stylez, Carol’s Daughter founder Lisa Price, and Design Essentials pioneer Cornell McBride Sr. Joining them are braider Xia Charles, photographer Derek Blanks, Topicals founder Olamide Olowe, and beauty leader Germaine Bolds-Leftridge. The ceremony will also recognize Spelman College’s Cosmetic Science Program for its role in advancing academic pathways for the next generation of innovators.

Executive producer Kelly Keith noted that the awards serve to connect established pioneers with emerging talent. To bridge this gap, the event includes the VIVATRESS Student Summit, where 400 students will participate in workshops, a braiding competition, and career discussions featuring industry figures such as Cliff Vmir and Jesseca "Judy" Harris-Dupart. VIVACÉ by KISS returns as the title partner, emphasizing a shared commitment to fostering future professional opportunities.

Beyond the individual honors, the evening marks a significant milestone for ORS, which celebrates its 30th anniversary. The event serves as a continuation of Bronner Bros.' nearly eight-decade commitment to professional education and business development within the Black beauty community.
