The upcoming publication of Dog Man: A Sprinkle in Time on November 3, 2026, serves as the centerpiece for the anniversary festivities. Following this, the publisher will roll out Dog Man Dynamite on August 3, 2027. These 48-page interactive volumes are designed to blend the worlds of Dog Man, Captain Underpants, and Cat Kid Comic Club, featuring puzzles, games, and retro 3-D glasses. Pilkey noted that the format draws inspiration from the magazines he read as a child, aiming to boost vocabulary and critical thinking in young readers.
Scholastic Marks a Decade of Dog Man with Global Tour and New Releases
Ten years after the debut of the world’s most famous canine superhero, Dav Pilkey’s Dog Man series is entering its second decade with a massive international celebration. Scholastic confirmed that the milestone will be marked by a 10-city tour and the launch of a new interactive book series, Dog Man Dynamite.
To coincide with the releases, Pilkey will embark on a 10-city Epic Tour spanning the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. Stops include London, Vancouver, and his native Cleveland. These events will offer fans the chance to meet the author and participate in “Bark to School” programs at local libraries and bookstores. Attendees will also be encouraged to participate in charitable initiatives, donating signed copies of books to literacy organizations. Since its 2016 launch, the series has reached over 70 million copies in print across 50 languages, cementing its status as a global publishing phenomenon that has transcended the page to reach both the theater and the cinema.
