San Francisco-based health tech firm Mira is moving beyond reproductive cycle tracking with the launch of its Cortisol Pattern Kit. The system allows users to measure urinary free cortisol levels at home, providing a biological data point to track stress patterns alongside hormonal fluctuations and daily routines.
Founder and CEO Sylvia Kang noted that the expansion targets women across all life stages, including those navigating perimenopause or high-stress lifestyles. The kit is positioned as a general wellness tool rather than a diagnostic medical device, intended to provide context for lifestyle adjustments rather than identifying specific endocrine conditions. Users are encouraged to test twice daily to observe the natural shift between morning and evening cortisol levels, creating a more comprehensive view of their body's biological rhythm when combined with pre-existing cycle and hormone data.
