Both feature a slim, surface-mounted design, an IP44 rating for bathrooms, and an automated rhythm that shifts light temperature throughout the day. Users can also select from five preset lighting scenes via an included remote control.
Signify Brings Artificial Daylight Indoors with New Philips Skylight
Living in windowless rooms or gloomy climates may soon feel different as Signify launches its Philips Skylight system in the U.S. market. By utilizing NatureConnect technology, the panels mimic the visual depth and color shifts of the sun, aiming to replicate the natural rhythm of a full day indoors.
The VitaUp variant adds a specialized UV-B module intended to support the body’s natural vitamin D production. Signify notes that while this feature is based on scientific research, the device is not a medical instrument and does not serve as a substitute for genuine sunlight. Currently available on Amazon, the VitaUp model will expand to select Home Depot locations this November.
