Santa Monica-based startup Rabbit has unveiled OS3, an agentic operating system designed to execute complex tasks by reasoning across multiple devices and software platforms. Rather than relying on traditional app interfaces, the system utilizes a single chat-based command center to orchestrate workflows, manage files, and automate local desktop operations.
Flexibility remains a central pillar of the release, with Rabbit adopting an open approach to model integration and skill execution. Users can plug in API keys from various frontier AI labs or locally hosted models, switching between them without losing context. Furthermore, the platform supports universal skill compatibility; users simply paste a skill’s URL into the chat to enable new functionalities.
