The company has now completed over 30,000 meters of its staged drilling program, with the latest findings covering 51 holes. Recent drilling successfully traced the Lupe Vein system across approximately 520 meters of strike and 450 meters of vertical extent. Highlights include hole CDH-26-256, which returned 759 grams per tonne (gpt) silver over 6.02 meters, and hole CDH-26-258, which intercepted 232 gpt silver over 24 meters.
Kootenay Silver Expands Lupe Vein Discovery at Columba Project
Kootenay Silver has reported high-grade assay results from its ongoing 60,000-meter drill campaign at the Columba silver project in Chihuahua, Mexico. The latest data reveals significant mineralized intercepts within the Lupe and B2 vein systems, confirming that the high-grade silver zones remain open for further expansion at depth.
Senior Geologic Engineer Roberto Jordan noted that the deeper drillholes continue to encounter broad, favorable mineralized zones. The project, which currently hosts a maiden inferred resource of 54.1 million ounces of silver, is seeing its vein systems converge as drilling progresses toward the eastern end of the D Vein. Kootenay has now shifted its focus to testing the Julieta, Santo Niño, and Toro veins to further define the district's potential. Two drill rigs remain active on-site to support the expansion of the resource.
