Hearst Expands Lucky Dog Franchise with Military-Focused Series
Emmy-winning trainer Brandon McMillan returns to CBS on October 3, anchoring a new hour of programming that pairs rescue dogs with military veterans. The series, Lucky Dog: Paws with Purpose, arrives as an exclusive collaboration with USAA, highlighting the therapeutic bond between canine companions and service members.
Following the premiere, CBS will air the second season of Lucky Dog: Down Under, which tracks McMillan’s work rescuing and rehabilitating dogs in Australia. Since its launch in 2013, the Lucky Dog franchise has successfully re-homed over 200 dogs, earning three Daytime Emmy Awards and dozens of industry honors. Hearst Media Production Group, the series producer, currently manages a library of 85 programs distributed across 100 countries.
