The $13.2 million project, spearheaded by the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northwest Suburbs (BGCNWS), aims to serve 550 students by offering specialized programs in skilled trades, college preparation, and mental health support. CEO Amanda Schleede credited the Foglia Family Foundation for providing the critical funding necessary to finish the capital campaign, noting that the center serves as a permanent hub for local youth to explore career paths through dedicated mentorship.
Carpentersville Welcomes New $13.2 Million Youth Impact Center
A crowd of 250 community leaders and supporters gathered in Carpentersville this week to inaugurate the Foglia Woodlands Impact Center, a 41,000-square-foot facility designed to bridge the gap between middle school education and future workforce readiness for students in Districts 220 and 300.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, officials from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America joined board members to celebrate the completion of the facility. The site features dedicated spaces for the organization's Club-to-Career Pathway, where students receive one-on-one guidance to connect their interests with future employment. The project was supported by a wide group of local donors, including the Duchossois, Roeser, and Green families, as well as the Wickstrom Auto Group and Hoffer Plastics, all of whom contributed to the center’s development.
