SACHEU Turns to Agentic AI to Keep Beauty Product Development Human

While the beauty industry increasingly delegates creative choices to artificial intelligence, the cosmetics brand SACHEU is moving in the opposite direction. A new partnership with Limitless Labs uses AI not to design products, but to amplify the voices of real customers and creators before the brand commits to a launch.

The collaboration centers on Limitless Labs’ Social Mirror Audiences, a platform that creates custom audiences based on thousands of actual beauty creators and their stated preferences. By analyzing over 22,000 customer reviews and 184,060 social media videos, the technology identifies specific product gaps and "white space" in the market. Founder Sarah Cheung emphasizes that the creative heavy lifting—formulas, risks, and aesthetic direction—remains entirely in-house. The AI acts as a sophisticated filter, refining consumer feedback to ensure development efforts address genuine pain points rather than fleeting trends.

Since January, this methodology has already influenced tangible product strategy. When the brand overhauled its Peel-Off Lip STAY-N guidance, the decision was informed by 7,391 verified customer reviews. In another instance, the AI accurately predicted the sales performance of three lip shades before they hit the market. According to Dale Janée Schroeter, VP of Business Development at Limitless Labs, the system improves preference accuracy by roughly 30 percentage points by filtering data against the brand's own internal metrics. This allows SACHEU to compress weeks of traditional panel research into a matter of days, keeping the final decision-making power firmly in human hands.
