New Data Suggests Tec-Dara Combination May Extend Myeloma Survival
Patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma treated with the combination of TECVAYLI and DARZALEX FASPRO show mortality risks comparable to the general population, according to new modeling data from the Phase 3 MajesTEC-3 study presented at the International Myeloma Society Annual Meeting.
Further analysis of the study reveals that the survival benefit is primarily driven by a 90 percent reduction in the risk of disease progression compared to standard-of-care treatments. Researchers noted that while overall survival rates for the Tec-Dara group reached 83 percent at the three-year mark, there was no statistically significant difference in non-relapse mortality between the treatment arms, suggesting the combination effectively controls the cancer without introducing additional fatal toxicity risks.
