2G Energy to Power US AI Data Centers With 275 MW Infrastructure Deal
Energy Vault Holdings has placed a 275-megawatt order with Germany’s 2G Energy AG to supply modular power systems for artificial intelligence and data center infrastructure. The deal aims to address the critical power demands of hyperscale computing by deploying dispatchable generation units across the United States between 2027 and 2028.
All units will be pre-assembled and rigorously tested at 2G’s manufacturing facility in Heek, Germany, before being shipped for on-site commissioning. Beyond the initial hardware delivery, the contract secures long-term service support from 2G to maintain the high availability required for mission-critical infrastructure. For 2G Energy, the project underscores a broader strategy to scale production; the company is currently constructing a second production site in Heek, slated for completion by late 2027, to meet the rising demand for decentralized energy solutions.
