Yulin Cashmere Targets Italian Luxury Market

Under the vaulted ceilings of Milan’s Leonardo da Vinci National Museum, Yulin’s cashmere industry made a calculated bid for European expansion. On September 22, the city showcased its transition from a raw material supplier to a global fashion player, bridging the gap between Northern Shaanxi production and Italian retail networks.

Yulin Cashmere Targets Italian Luxury Market

The "Oriental Cashmere Radiance" event brought together over 100 industry leaders and officials, including Milan’s Vice Mayor Francesco Vassallo and Mario Boselli, President of the Italy China Council Foundation. The agenda focused on moving beyond traditional exports, emphasizing Yulin’s role as a major R&D hub for cold-weather apparel.

Four prominent Yulin firms—Yingguo Industry, Shaanxi Tuocheng, Yulin Yanglaoda, and HBEH—secured direct partnerships with Italian buyers Casile & Casile and IWC. These agreements establish a formal pipeline for Chinese cashmere brands to enter European high-end retail channels. The proceedings concluded with a runway showcase featuring local manufacturing capabilities, punctuated by performances blending Northern Shaanxi cultural traditions with classic Italian music.
