The relocation, slated for February 2028, marks a significant expansion for the 106-year-old firm. By moving into the 38-story tower, Rubin Rudman will increase its footprint by nearly 15,000 square feet, moving from its current 42,994 square feet to a more contiguous space across the 23rd, 24th, and 25th floors. Managing partner John J. McGivney noted that the current fragmented layout, expanded piecemeal over the years, no longer supports the firm’s culture or operational needs.
Rubin Rudman Secures New Financial District Hub at One Federal Street
After more than a decade at 53 State Street, Boston law firm Rubin Rudman is moving to the Financial District’s One Federal Street. The firm signed a 15-year lease for 57,844 square feet, securing a custom-designed headquarters spanning three floors to accommodate its growing roster of attorneys.
Designed by Gensler, the new office will feature a sweeping staircase to link the primary floors, alongside an expanded café and a conference center capable of hosting 100 guests. These additions are intended to support a hybrid work model by creating a destination where staff can collaborate. With plans to grow its headcount to 125 attorneys, the firm aims to leverage the new space to maintain its position as a destination for midsize legal services while providing the flexibility required for complex, high-level client matters.
