The tool enables administrators to ask specific questions about group billing totals, mid-period coverage adjustments, or individual member status changes. By processing inquiries against a workspace’s existing records, the assistant eliminates the need for screen-by-screen navigation. To ensure data integrity, the system operates entirely independently from the platform’s core payment-calculation engine, which remains anchored to the company’s proprietary, U.S.-patented technology.
Security remains a primary constraint of the deployment. Access is gated by multi-factor authentication and workspace-level permissions, with the assistant restricted from performing any write or modification operations. Chief Technology Officer Dennis Reaves noted that separating generative AI from core reconciliation processes was a deliberate design choice intended to maximize speed without compromising the precision required for benefits administration.
