Talos Chairman Neal P. Goldman highlighted Faulkenberry’s three decades of leadership as a vital asset for the company’s long-term strategy in offshore exploration and production. Before transitioning to corporate governance, Faulkenberry served as Vice Commander for global mobility operations in the Air Force, overseeing a fleet of 1,100 aircraft and 37,000 personnel until her retirement in 2014.
Talos Energy Expands Board With Retired Air Force General
Major General Barbara J. Faulkenberry, a retired U.S. Air Force veteran with extensive experience in global logistics and risk management, will join the board of directors at Talos Energy. Her appointment, effective October 1, 2026, expands the Houston-based energy firm’s governing body to seven members.
Her background includes significant public company board service. She previously held positions at Callon Petroleum Company, where she chaired the Nominating and ESG Committee, as well as Target Hospitality Corp. and USA Truck, Inc. Faulkenberry holds degrees from the U.S. Air Force Academy, Georgia College & State University, and the National Defense University, complemented by strategic leadership training at Harvard, Cambridge, and Syracuse.
