By migrating to a unified cloud-based system, the health system intends to eliminate the friction caused by switching between disparate applications. Richard Wright, Executive Director of Imaging Services, noted that the platform allows clinicians across different sites and specialties to collaborate on the same case simultaneously rather than working in isolation.
Northeast Georgia Medical Center Transitions Imaging to Sectra Cloud
Northeast Georgia Medical Center has launched the Sectra One Cloud platform, centralizing radiology, breast imaging, and cardiology workflows for its regional network. This transition shifts infrastructure management to the vendor, aiming to streamline diagnostic processes for a population of 1.5 million people across 19 Georgia counties.
Under this service model, Sectra assumes responsibility for system maintenance, continuous monitoring, and software upgrades. This approach is designed to mitigate operational risks and ensure high system availability at the Gainesville flagship facility and its four affiliated campuses. Isaac Zaworski, President of Sectra Inc., emphasized that the modular architecture allows the hospital system to scale its digital capabilities into additional specialties as clinical needs evolve.
