MIAX Boosts Futures Clearing Capabilities with Dorman Trading Update

Miami International Holdings has secured clearing membership at The Options Clearing Corporation for its futures commission merchant, Dorman Trading. The move accompanies a $40 million capital injection into the firm, aimed at streamlining operations for traders utilizing the exchange’s recently launched Bloomberg equity index futures products.

MIAX Boosts Futures Clearing Capabilities with Dorman Trading Update

The membership with the world’s largest equity derivatives clearing organization allows Dorman Trading to offer heightened cost and operational efficiencies to its clients. According to Thomas P. Gallagher, Chairman and CEO of MIAX, this milestone directly supports the company’s objective to reduce friction for participants active on MIAX Futures.

This expansion is underpinned by a significant increase in financial backing. By injecting $40 million into the FCM, MIAX has brought its adjusted net capital to approximately $68 million as of August 31, 2026. This liquidity boost is intended to accelerate the firm's growth strategy and broaden its capacity to support a diverse set of market participants. The development follows the May 2026 launch of MIAX Futures products, which include the Tini B100, Tini B500, and B500 equity index futures.
