Under the theme "Silk Road Connects the World, Light and Shadow Shine over Chang'an," the 13th Silk Road International Film Festival concluded its five-day run in Xi'an. The event drew 2,130 submissions from 139 countries, cementing its role as a cross-continental hub for cinematic and cultural diplomacy.
Beyond traditional screenings, the event prioritized institutional growth and the next generation of filmmakers. Organizers inaugurated the Silk Road Research and Exchange Centre for Children's Films and released a comprehensive blue book on the domestic children's film market. The summit also facilitated practical industry growth through the Silk Road Film Market and the Young Talent Venture Initiative. These sessions, alongside VR film exchanges and micro-drama showcases, aimed to bridge the gap between regional Shaanxi productions and the broader international market.
