The strategy centers on two high-profile ventures: the acquisition of the Sangue d'Oro project, led by actress Carole Bouquet, and a distribution partnership with American winemaker Charles Smith. The former focuses on Passito di Pantelleria, while the latter includes the debut of the Pasqua + Smith Pinot Nero, a multi-vintage blend combining Valpolicella heritage with the winemaking style of Washington State. These collaborations aim to expand the brand's footprint while maintaining its core identity.
Pasqua Wines Scales Global Reach Through Strategic Partnerships
Verona-based Pasqua Vigneti e Cantine is accelerating its international growth, pivoting from traditional production toward a collaborative model dubbed the House of the Unconventional. By integrating external partnerships with its own high-end Icon labels, the family-owned winery is targeting a new generation of consumers through experimental viticulture.
Simultaneously, Pasqua’s established Icon range—including Famiglia Pasqua, Mai Dire Mai, Hey French, and 11 Minutes—continues to garner high marks from global critics. The Famiglia Pasqua Amarone della Valpolicella 2022 secured Tre Bicchieri from Gambero Rosso, while the 2016 Mai Dire Mai Amarone received 95 points from Wine Enthusiast. According to Head of Business Development Andrea Pasqua, these projects function as a research lab, demonstrating that heritage winemaking can adapt to modern, globalized tastes without sacrificing regional character.
