The platform addresses the risks posed by sophisticated cyber operations, such as those documented in recent Anthropic reports where autonomous agents conducted reconnaissance and data theft. By integrating AI activity into existing security contexts, Gurucul allows Security Operations and Insider Risk teams to track not just what an AI is asked to do, but the specific system actions it performs. The system leverages hundreds of detection points mapped to MITRE ATLAS tactics and the OWASP Top 10 for Large Language Models to identify "Shadow AI" and excessive privilege usage.
Gurucul Launches AI Behavioral Security Platform to Counter Autonomous Risk
As artificial intelligence transitions from simple assistant to autonomous actor, security teams face a new, complex attack surface. Gurucul has launched its AI Risk and Response platform, designed to monitor AI interactions by mapping behavioral patterns to specific identities, access privileges, and broader enterprise telemetry to neutralize threats before they escalate.

Unlike isolated AI security gateways, this solution correlates data from existing endpoints, cloud environments, and identity management systems. Blue Mantis CISO Jay Martin noted that the tool provides rapid visibility into risky interactions with sensitive information without requiring complex custom engineering. The platform is now generally available, with a new AI prevention feature currently in preview that provides automated controls to stop high-risk interactions at the point of use.
