Patients simply verify or update these details through a redesigned portal rather than reconstructing their medical history from scratch.

Chicago-based precision health platform CancerIQ has overhauled its integration with Epic, aiming to eliminate manual data entry for both patients and clinicians. By embedding clinical guidelines directly into existing EHR workflows, the update allows health systems to track cancer screening and surveillance journeys without switching between disparate software applications.
For providers, the integration removes the need to leave the EHR to manage complex care plans. Clinicians can now refine pedigree data, initiate biomarker testing, and generate personalized screening intervals within their existing interface. Michelle Settlemeyer of OSF HealthCare noted that the update enables teams to translate genomic data into actionable clinical steps more efficiently. These tools are available immediately via the Epic Showroom, supporting health systems in managing the full continuum of care from initial prevention to long-term survivorship.
