Leifras Expands School Club Management Across Five Japanese Cities
As Japan enters its 2026 Reform Implementation Period, Leifras has secured new municipal contracts to manage school club activities in Sapporo, Tokyo, Urayasu, and Miyawaka, signaling a shift toward private-sector infrastructure to sustain youth sports and cultural programs amid a nationwide decline in birthrates and teacher workloads.
In Urayasu, the scope extends into cultural clubs—including arts, photography, and string instruments—broadening the definition of extracurricular activities. With a track record of supporting 2,120 clubs across 381 schools as of late 2025, Leifras is positioning its platform to capture a share of an estimated 500 billion yen market. The company leverages its nationwide human resources base of over 4,500 employees to address regional challenges, providing a sustainable model for municipalities struggling to maintain traditional club structures.
