The project integrates editorial content with grassroots outreach, appearing in print and on the Future of Personal Health digital hub. By featuring perspectives from the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, the American Society of Hematology, and the American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, the initiative provides a comprehensive look at both adult and pediatric care, including specific focus on sickle cell disease.
Mediaplanet Targets Hematology Awareness in New National Campaign
Actor Evan Handler and triathlete Siri Lindley anchor a new national initiative launching September 25 in USA TODAY. The campaign, titled Blood Cancers & Disorders, aims to bridge the gap between clinical hematology advances and the lived experiences of patients navigating diagnoses, treatment, and long-term survivorship across the United States.

Personal narratives serve as the emotional core of the campaign. Handler, a long-term leukemia survivor, and Lindley, a world champion triathlete, share their journeys to illustrate the realities of life beyond a cancer diagnosis. Beyond the page, Blood Cancer United will distribute copies of the campaign at Light The Night walks nationwide, ensuring that educational resources reach patients, caregivers, and advocates directly within their local communities. This multi-channel approach emphasizes the importance of accessible, credible information for those managing complex blood disorders.
