Scheduled to come online in 2027, the facility is designed to scale from 15 to 100 megawatts to meet demand from government agencies, energy sectors, and financial institutions. The system is built for air-gapped environments, ensuring that sensitive data remains under domestic control.
MeetKai Partners with NVIDIA for Sovereign AI Rollout Across Six Nations
MeetKai is launching a sovereign AI infrastructure initiative across Brazil, Ukraine, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Bangladesh. By utilizing NVIDIA’s accelerated computing stack, the company aims to provide over 700 million people with national-scale AI factories that operate entirely within local borders, independent of foreign cloud services.
In Brazil, MeetKai secured a public tender with SERPRO, the federal IT agency, to deploy sovereign coding agents and localized models. Beyond Latin America, the company is collaborating with VEON to act as an AI lab-as-a-service across its five remaining markets. This strategy focuses on training local engineers to operate the sites, ensuring that technical expertise remains within the host country. According to Calista Redmond, VP of Global AI Initiatives at NVIDIA, this full-stack foundation enables governments to maintain AI systems that function strictly according to their own rules and languages.
