The distinction highlights the company’s swift transition from a startup to a clinical-stage outfit, fueled by a proprietary T-cell engager platform and a high-profile licensing deal with Sanofi.
Founder and CEO Weihao Xu credits the rapid development to a focus on scientific risk-taking and the clinical progress of their lead molecules. Derek Yuan, a partner at LYFE Capital and early investor, noted that the company’s ability to move from inception to major pharmaceutical partnership in roughly 24 months remains an outlier in the biotech sector. Looking ahead, the firm is preparing to expand its platform beyond B-cell depletion, with a trispecific antibody candidate, KT209, slated for human trials in the first half of 2027.
