Drive for Life Gala Secures $1.5 Million for Michigan Charities
The Drive for Life Foundation marked four decades of philanthropy on September 24 at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Kalamazoo, raising $1.5 million. This annual gathering of business leaders and community members directed the record-breaking funds toward the American Cancer Society and regional service organizations.
Aaron Zeigler, president of Zeigler Auto Group and a presenting sponsor, credited the community for the milestone. Since its inception in 1982—when the event raised less than $20,000—the gala has evolved into a cornerstone of West Michigan charitable giving. Support from major partners including Greenleaf Trust, Brown & Brown Dealer Services, Cox Automotive, and Huntington National Bank proved essential to the record total.
