Prince & Izant brings a specialized manufacturing footprint to its new parent company, operating facilities across Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, and New York. With a workforce of approximately 220 employees, the company focuses on proprietary metallurgy, producing nearly 10,000 active stock-keeping units. These components, often involving gold, silver, and platinum alloys, are essential for high-stress applications such as aircraft engine fuel nozzles and rocket engines.
TransDigm Finalizes $1.066 Billion Acquisition of Prince & Izant
Cleveland-based TransDigm Group has finalized its $1.066 billion acquisition of Prince & Izant, a specialty manufacturer of high-performance brazing alloys. The deal, funded entirely through cash on hand, integrates the metal component producer into TransDigm’s expanding portfolio of aerospace and defense suppliers following a previous announcement in July.

The acquisition aligns with TransDigm’s strategy of securing proprietary technologies with significant aftermarket demand. Prince & Izant is projected to generate $390 million in revenue for the 2026 calendar year. By incorporating these specialized metal components, TransDigm strengthens its position in the aerospace and aeroderivative turbine markets, leveraging the acquired firm's deep formulation expertise to meet increasingly complex performance requirements for global defense and commercial customers.
