Society of Actuaries Names Sherry Chan as 2026-2027 President-Elect
Sherry Chan, a managing director at EY with a background in public pension systems, will step into the role of president-elect and vice chair for the Society of Actuaries. Her appointment highlights a broader leadership shuffle as the organization prepares for its upcoming annual conference in late October.
The election also finalized the addition of five new members to the board: Jessica Dang, Murshid Kuttihassan, Taylor Pickett, Greg Warren, and Andy Wieduwilt. These individuals will officially commence their terms following the conclusion of the 2026 SOA ImpACT Annual Conference. The Society of Actuaries currently represents more than 35,000 professionals across 100 countries, focusing on the management of life's financial risks.
