Carlyle Targets $5 Trillion Family Office Market with New Hires
With an estimated $5 trillion in assets sitting within the global family office sector, Carlyle Group is aggressively pivoting toward ultra-high-net-worth capital. The firm has established two new leadership roles, appointing seasoned executives in San Francisco and London to capture a larger share of private wealth investment.
Victoria Matthews takes on the role of managing director and head of the family office group for Europe and Asia, based in London. Formerly the head of UK family offices and endowments at BlackRock, Matthews brings significant expertise in navigating institutional-grade strategies for private clients. These appointments follow Carlyle's successful track record of raising approximately $50 billion from wealthy individuals and families, a pool of capital the firm intends to expand as it competes for a larger slice of the massive addressable market.
