Since reopening at 1602 West End Blvd last fall, the chain has attracted crowds eager to revisit a brand that once defined Mexican casual dining in America. The anniversary milestone coincides with a broader menu refresh, including the reintroduction of the Twice Grilled BBQ Burrito, Seafood Nachos, and Margarita Chicken Tacos, alongside a new lunch lineup.
Chi-Chi's Marks One-Year Return with 1976 Pricing
On October 6, the Minneapolis flagship of Chi-Chi's will roll back costs to their 1976 origins, offering chicken chimichangas for $3.25 and house margaritas for $1.25. The promotion marks the brand's first anniversary since its high-profile return to the restaurant scene, signaling a sustained effort to reclaim its legacy.

CEO Michael McDermott stated that the response from both original patrons and new diners has validated the brand's strategic revival. Looking toward the second year, the company is shifting focus from its initial relaunch to long-term expansion, exploring opportunities to bring its scratch-made recipes to additional markets.
