AGS Expands Midwest Presence with Acquisition of Mark Industries
The Sterling Group’s commercial glazing platform, AGS American Glass Services, has acquired Illinois-based Mark Industries. The deal marks a strategic expansion into the Chicago metropolitan area, integrating the Elgin-based contractor into a growing network that now ranks among the largest glazing service providers in the United States.
Since its formation in July 2025, AGS has aggressively consolidated Midwest glazing businesses, including Omni Glass & Paint and East Moline Glass. Headquartered in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the company now manages approximately 500 employees across 10 locations. The Sterling Group continues to leverage its $9 billion in assets to scale the platform, with executives signaling that they remain active in pursuing further acquisitions to broaden the company's regional footprint.
