The United States Coast Guard recently released the names of those lost, shifting the focus from the technical search to the personal impact of the tragedy. Peter Byl, President of Latitude Air Ambulance, described the crew not as statistics, but as integral members of the company family. The team included Captain Philip Childerhose, a pilot known for his integrity; First Officer Thomas Farquhar, remembered as a gentle presence; flight nurse Sarah Paton, a dedicated caregiver known for her joy; and respiratory therapist Jolene Weir, who viewed her medical work as a calling.

These professionals were mid-mission, providing critical transport when the accident occurred. Latitude is currently cooperating with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada and the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board to determine the circumstances of the crash. While the investigation remains methodical, the company has emphasized that it will not speculate on the cause of the accident, prioritizing respect for the grieving families over public conjecture. Latitude continues to offer support to the relatives of the deceased while urging the public to respect their privacy during this period.
