Beyond the top prize, eight finalists received $500,000 each, while seventeen semifinalists were granted between $50,000 and $150,000 to accelerate their operational growth.

The Learning Lounge in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, has secured the $1 million Yass Prize, a distinction celebrating innovators who redefine educational access. The award highlights the organization’s success in revitalizing rural communities through a model that blends personalized academics with civic and economic renewal.
Founded by Kanesha Adams, The Learning Lounge emerged from a personal search for an effective school environment. It now serves 73 students with a significant waiting list, focusing on therapeutic supports and entrepreneurship to serve rural families. This year’s cohort also features diverse models such as Vermont’s Habitat for Aviation, which provides aerospace apprenticeships, and Tennessee’s Man Up Teacher Fellowship, aimed at diversifying the educator workforce. Since its inception, the initiative has funneled $84 million into 285 organizations, fostering a national network of entrepreneurs connected through a dedicated business accelerator.
