The device attaches to the back of a vehicle, offering a lightweight, accessible alternative to traditional overhead storage systems. By focusing on ease of use and stowage, the design targets owners of sedans and coupes who require additional hauling capacity without the aerodynamic drag or reach-related frustrations associated with roof racks.
Florida Inventor Designs Retractable Trunk Extension for Coupes
Living out of a two-door coupe during frequent road trips prompted a Defuniak Springs inventor to create the Tag Along, a rear-mounted basket extension designed to bypass the limitations of cramped trunk space and the physical demands of loading bulky rooftop cargo carriers.

The concept has been submitted to the Tallahassee office of InventHelp and is currently being presented to manufacturers and marketers for potential licensing or acquisition. Interested parties can reach the company at their Pittsburgh headquarters or through their official submission portal regarding reference number 25-TLS-1380.
