The re-establishment of a booking centre in Singapore this year marks a return to a critical wealth hub, though the bank maintained a presence in the region via advisory services since 2021. This move positions Singapore alongside existing hubs in Switzerland, Ireland, Monaco, Dubai, and India. Bryde, who assumed her current role in February 2025, spends significant time traveling to these jurisdictions to ensure client-facing teams remain aligned with the bank’s broader objectives.
Operational success relies on a 'one-bank' approach, leveraging cross-referrals between the corporate and investment banking divisions. This structural synergy follows a 2023 reorganization that consolidated wealth management under a single business unit. Financial results reflect this momentum, with total income for the international private bank reaching £713 million in the first half of 2026. While net new assets of £1.8 billion saw a slight dip compared to the previous year, total client assets grew to £230.2 billion by the end of June.
