Starting October 12, residents in Pensacola and Pace can access mobile relief stations daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST. The operations are positioned at Walmart Supercenters located at 8970 Pensacola Blvd. in Pensacola and 4965 U.S. Highway 90 in Pace. These sites offer free laundry services through the Tide Loads of Hope program, alongside private shower trailers equipped with ADA-compliant facilities and diaper-changing stations.
P&G Deploys Mobile Laundry and Shower Units to Hurricane-Stricken Florida
Following the destructive landfall of Hurricane Isaias, Procter & Gamble has activated its disaster relief program in the Florida Panhandle. Collaborating with Matthew 25: Ministries and Walmart, the initiative provides essential hygiene services and household supplies to families and first responders currently grappling with widespread power outages and property damage.
Beyond basic sanitation, the teams are distributing personal care kits containing products from brands such as Pantene, Olay, and Old Spice. According to Claude Zukowski, Senior Director of Community Impact at P&G, the goal is to restore a sense of routine and comfort for those facing the aftermath of the storm’s flooding and high winds. Because site capacity varies, the organizers are directing residents to the Matthew 25: Ministries Instagram page for real-time operational updates and scheduling changes.
